When the cruel prince Aerion Targaryen enters the tournament and brutally injures a competitor, then assaults the beautiful puppeteer Tanselle, Dunk furiously beats him in her defense. Egg reveals himself as Aerion's younger brother, Aegon Targaryen, and uses his royal authority to save Dunk from brutal retaliation by Aerion's guards.
