EPISODE RECAP
Rhaenyra recruits Addam of Hull, a lowborn shipwright whose dragon Seasmoke chose him, and becomes convinced that Targaryen bastards can also bond with dragons, leading her to recruit common folk as "Dragonseeds" to claim the unclaimed dragons Vermithor and Silverwing. During the recruitment attempt at Dragonstone, Vermithor kills most of the Dragonseeds in a horrific massacre, but two survive: Hugh Hammer bonds with Vermithor while Ulf White claims Silverwing, and when Aemond pursues them back to Dragonstone with Vhagar, the three Black dragons roar in unison at his retreat. Meanwhile, Jacaerys confronts his mother about elevating lowborns with dragons, questioning whether this threatens his own legitimacy and inheritance, while in the Crownlands, Alicent withdraws from court after being removed from the Small Council, and Larys manipulates the recovery of the injured King Aegon.
