The same logic that makes the Collective invisible to itself also leaves it structurally incapable of defending what it has built.

The Collective cannot recognize that its recruitment pitch is indistinguishable from a description of erasure, because the cognitive and emotional architecture required to make that recognition is exactly what joining removes.
